Always wonderful to hear about a good day out on the water! Living
vicariously through someone else's sail helps lessen the sting of not being out on the
water ourselves.

Chris, what I get a kick out of are the numbskulls who see the signs
"Slow, NO WAKE, 5 MPH" and figure that since they are going "5 MPH", they
are OK, what they fail to comprehend is that at 5 MPH they are often
dragging half the ocean behind them in their wake.....and "sharing" this
wealth with the rest of us!
Hey, guys, did I ever tell you about the stinkpotter (18' center console)
who came through our harbor with an excessive wake, carrying it right
into the launch ramp, who when I mentioned (with uncharacteristic
restraint and calmness ) that it might be better if he didn't come in so
fast next time (I think I mentioned the fact that the Harbormaster would
object?), told me that he had to come in fast (and with a big wake?)
because he was running out of gas and wanted to get in before he ran out!
Folks, I'm NOT kidding, that was really what he told me!
Echo the comment someone made about the powerboater who complains about
others' wakes is usually the worst offender, I was talking to the owner
of a 30' Sea Ray at the marina where we keep our CAL 21 a few years ago
and he was complaining about how a kid in a 13' Whaler had come past the
marina docks the night before and the wake had rolled through the marina
(spilling this guys Coke if I recall?). Funny thing is that the next
morning as my Dad and I powered out of the harbor (and no longer in the
NO WAKE zone), this same Sea Ray owner overtook us and gave us a pretty
good roll, then proceeded to give the Chrysler 26 ahead of us the same
treatment!

Chris, ever heard of an airsoft gun?
No...will it puncture their gas tanks or prevent the throttles from being
placed in the halfway-on-plane position?

Well, I dunno, one of mine fires about 515fps... sure as hell will hurt.
6mm plastic pellets. They use them in Jap Land and other places where
you can't own guns to reenact. Hell, you can buy full autos... I've seen
cheaply ones at wally world, but not as much power. Of course, a simple
wrist rocket snd ball bearings will work too. And I am sure, trailing
that line, like I suggested could cause some mischief...
