WOW!!! You guys are the BEST!!!!! Thanks for such a quick response! we racing in the non-spin division against boats that rate around 135!! I added a new 125% headsail, we were running with a club- footed working jib before. That seemed to help a bit. I noticed that there was a 71 registered inb Seattle at 208. I understand that there is a differance in ratings between locales, but I thought I'd try. I have an o/b on the boat, and I believe it is the standard rig, but haven't measured it yet. Just looking for a few extra seconds anyway I can get them. Bob, did your 27 have tracks on the inside of the stays? I only have them set up near the cockpit right now, with the sheeta running outside. I was finally able to free the old fairleads so now they are at least adjustable. I'm thinking that will help as well. Sorry for the mundane questions, I'm a Laser racer, so this "big boat racing" thing is pretty new to me. This group rocks!! Susan

you should get some time without a spinnaker, a small headsail, if that is your maximum "On the boat", and possibly for the outboard. Seattle Ratings (conditions) make the ratings different. My Cal 40 was 135 in Seattle and 117 in SF as I recall... but I haven't looked for a while. dEmO From: Ca… [at] yahoogroups.com [mailto:Ca… [at] yahoogroups.com] On Behalf Of Susan Ingram Sent: Thursday, August 16, 2007 10:54 PM To: Ca… [at] yahoogroups.com Subject: [Cal_Boats] Re: SF PHRF Rating WOW!!! I sheeted my 130 genoa to tracks inside the uppers on the cabin-top. The 170 came back to the track outside the cockpit. bw > ------------------------------ > *From:* Ca… [at] yahoogroups.com [mailto:Ca… [at] yahoogroups.com] *On > Behalf Of *Susan Ingram > *Sent:* Thursday, August 16, 2007 10:54 PM > *To:* Ca… [at] yahoogroups.com > *Subject:* [Cal_Boats] Re: SF PHRF Rating > > > > WOW!!!
