CCCCC - moorings - RSVP
Fin Beven2007-10-01 14:14 UTC
The "mooring" routine for the CCCCC is that each skipper requests his or her own mooring as you arrive at the island. We will attempt to group near the west end of the cove, closest to the LAYC beach and BBQ.
On channel 9, call the "Harbor Master for Howlands/Emerald" to request a mooring at Howlands for the weekend.
With "Buccaneer Days" going on at Two Harbors, it could be pretty busy down there, but if you get no response from the "Harbor Master for Howlands & Emerald", you might try contacting the Harbor Master at Two Harbors. They may be able to help.
RSVP ....
I will be trying to let LAYC know about how many boats will be with us this weekend.
Please reply to this to let me know if you will be part of this epic CCCCC.
Thanks,

Unfortunately, work prevents me from getting away this weekend. Until
next year guys. Someone take a lot of boat photos, with faces
connected to boats, please.

John & Edna ... great. Please request a mooring toward the west end of the cove.
A-4, B-1, 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6, C-1, 2, 3, & 4 are great moorings. It turns out that there will also be a contingent of J-boats there. So your early arrival is a great idea.
We will be on A-3

Fin,
We're planning to arrive at Howlands Thursday afternoon, sailing from
Shoreline Long Beach. We"ll return Sunday. Hope all the moorings
aren't taken.
Have a pleasant sail over.

I'm hoping to have Shpritz at the CCCCCCCC.
Will there be some way to the Buck an Ear festivities afterwards? Either on a dinghy, towed by someone else on our dinghy, or, I guess there's always the shore boat. I wonder if they'll have any openings on the string tie? I've never been to one of these hear things, just seen pictures and descriptions on today's Latitude 38 on the web. I think they're exaggerating a bit.

Jerry ... please e-mail me off-list at Fi… [at] MSN.com<mailto:Fi… [at] MSN.com>
Will you be there and want to join us for dinner Friday evening.
Here's what we sent this morning:
First, and most important ... It turns out that a contingent of "J" boats will also be using Howlands for the weekend, so try to get there (and request a west-end mooring) as soon as possible.
Then ....
Mary and I would like to host dinner on Radiant on Friday night. 6:30.
Mary will be making shrimp & clam bouillabaisse with crusty rolls.
Please RSVP by Wednesday night so Mary will have a head-count for shopping on Thursday.
Hope you will join us.
And Per, or anyone, if I've missed someone from the list above, please forward to them.
Fin & Mary Beven
