Marine Air Airconditioning Location on Cal 39

Purchased my Cal 39 not long ago. It has a Marine Air airconditioning unit on it. I'm trying to find where the strainer is located in the water line coming from the feedthrough. I've pulled up all the deck plates and looked through the engine compartment, but either can't find it or don't recognize it. Anyone have an idea where the strainer would be located, and or how to recognize it? I have some generic literature with my boat manual, but it doesn't go into that kind of detail. Many thanks! Max
