Good thought, Alfred. If you contact Bacon's, ask for Garret Cameron, and mention the name Charlie Husar. It will either get you thrown out, or get you real good service. I forget which. Garret is a CAL 25 racer here in Annapolis. By the by All, Good Old Boat Regatta (GOBR) is October 11-12 next year. Coincides with the Monday Holiday and the Annapolis Sail Boat Show as usual. The Chesapeake Bay Yacht Racing Association (CBYRA) is starting to see the wisdom of our ways (after 8 years of GOBR). They are looking at making more races have "cruising" classes that run on the Government Marks as we do (not the W-L stuff that has become de riguer here). they are finally seeing that are boats out there besides carbon fiber canoe bottoms. Charlie, Funny you should say that. In 2007 the Chicago Yacht Club instituted a cruising division in the annual Chicago - Mackinac race. It was a big success. They have already stopped accepting entries for the 2008 race. My last Mac was in 2000, but I'm going again next year, in the cruising division this time. That is, if they accept our entry. It's not a Cal, I'm sorry to say. Regards, David Dobbs, Cal29 411 "Husar, Charlie [USA]" <hu… [at] bah.com> wrote: Good thought, Alfred.
