CAL 33 Transmission prt
Don, I'd say it would be worth a call to Rudy Nickerson at D&R Marine in
Assonet, MA (508) 644-3001, he was the Parts Department Manager at
O'Day/CAL in Fall River, MA and has a lot of parts (and what he doesn't
have, he knows where to get!). One correction, the CAL 33 and the O'DAY
322 are two very different boats (and were in production at the same
time, although the CAL 33 was introduced about a year before the O'DAY
322. However, perhaps same engine? Exactly 1 CAL 33 was built after
CAL/O'DAY bit the dust in 1989, and that one was built by a company
called "CAL-PEARSON" in Maryland (I think?), that company was an attempt
to revive both CAL and PEARSON after the demise of PEARSON in 1991.
PEARSON is back now, building powerboats in Rhode Island, the company
name was finally purchased back by Everett Pearson a few years ago. He
was one of the original 2 Pearson cousins that started Pearson Yachts
back in the 1950's. Clinton Pearson was the other cousin, he later
started Sailstar Boats and Bristol Yachts, after going bankrupt more than
once with Bristol, Clint was part of the ill-conceived CAL-PEARSON
company.
