Hard work, Marsh. Little suckers have attached into the glas. I think
I mentioned the 1 inch wood chisel after the paint scraper. Make sure
that you wear good gloves. Barnacle cuts can become infected very
quickly.
Cheers, I Guess

I no longer have a copy, but, a few issues back, Practical Sailor had a
review of products for removing barnacles.

Chalie,
Isn't it true that the main reason to wear stout gloves when removing barnacles, also, is to prevent the barnacles from getting inside your skin, where they will begin growing on your flesh? I've heard of Navy Divers being so afflicted with severe cases of Barnacleosis. The only cure, I understand, is a complete high pressure washed down, paint scraping and judicious use of a finely honed one inch chisel wielded by a Navy Surgeon. As Quinine is to Malaria, Sturgeon eggs can be palliative, hence the expression, "Tale a bottle of Sturgeon Eggs, and Call me in the Morning".
FEB (Flesh eating Barnacles) is nothing to mess around with!
