one thing to keep in mind is a gas engine rated to 30 hp is not the same as a diesel rated to 30 hp. There are conversion charts available, but for the most part, you do not need as much hp out of a diesel as you do a gas engine. Hi! We find all of this very interesting and educational. Thanks to all that have offerd opinions and advice. In Az. right now and will return to the boat on Christmas Day.
