Good Grief !!! how do you see anything with one of those; strap the bloody bugger in-front of your eye-ball??? i say it's a good thing you float tested it! you would go bug-eyed if you kept using the thing...... with all the fancy new expensive junk out there; i find that i really like something a few years older and just a bit easier on the old mark-one eye-ball (as they say). to that ends, i have two of the unit's bellow for my cockpit. one for the big picture of the area, and the other will be set-up for a close-up view. i may even put a third at my nav-station down in the cabin for that with-if situation. they are very reliable, and i have three of them. all of which can be fed with the same GPS/sea-talk info...... fiver ************************ "Raytheon-620" (about $100 used on e-bay) use's any external GPS or DGPS sore input 10" inch diagonal display 640 x 480 VGA 4 shade gray-scale water proof to CFR-46 standards NT CF-95 C-Map compatible (2-slot) sea-talk, NMEA-0185, and NMEA-0180 in & out power is less than 6-W @ 12-V variable back lighting plotting capable...... does not require magnifying equipment or optical-user glass-wear..... **************Start the year off right.
