Old propane stove

Bribon has an old Kenyon 640 propane stove. We are getting large, sooty, orange flames from two of the burners, also seem to be using a little more propane than before. Haven't heard back from Kenyon...Is this a manifold, knob/regulator, or burner problem? I suspect parts will not be available. Any suggestions as to what to try? Yes, I know we could spent some boatbucks and get a new one, but I'd like to try and rescue this unit if possible! Thanks, Peter
