Anyone add a stop switch to their Cal 29 (with Farymann)???

I'd like to add a button or switch to stop the engine to my boat. Right now the only way I
know how to stop the little diesel is to pull back on the throttle and wait for it to die.
Has anyone added a switch/button for this to theirs? Is there a circuit that would be easy to
tie into to do this?
Thanks

I am not familiar with your particular engine, but, since a diesel does not
require electricity in order to continue running (unless you have an
electric fuel pump), the only way to shut one off is to deprive it of fuel.
The original engine in my Cal 31 shut off by pulling the throttle back
against spring pressure. Now, the engine shuts off by pulling a T-handle.
The process in either case took no more than about 3 seconds. If yours
takes much longer than that, you may have a cable that needs adjustment in
order to completely cut off the flow of fuel.
