Hi Reg, Congratulations! You can't go wrong with a Cal. I have asked around and no one up here knows a surveyor. Down here, Pensacola to Miami is like Eureka to San Diego in CA. The good surveyoy who did Mike and Beth's Cal 40 only works the Keys. You probably know as much about checking out a boat as many surveyors, so I would suggest you fly down and do your own survey. If the PO had a fairly recent survey, insurance may accept it or you can get Liability only from Progressive.
