"Gypsy Gael" jn Tarpon Springs
We are in Tarpon Springs, FL. Home of an active sponge industry and renown Greek restaurants. Weather will probably have us pinned down for Tuesday and Wednesday.
Barbara made pork steaks, fresh steamed asparagus and monfugo (sp?), a mashed plantain dish. That and a glass of Chateau le Box, good stuff!
Well, we are parked in the mud, again. Some helpful coast guard auxillary guys sais, "sure, anchor over there". so, we are again anchored Florida style. Thank heaven for soft bottoms.
We had to motor all the way today, thanks to no wind changing to headwinds. The transmission may be giving out. I think the damage caused when the heat exchanger blew is catching up with it. When we are able to move after high tide, we'll baby it to see how it goes.
So far, Thursday looks good to SAIL to Pensacola from here. Thats the plan!
Will report on Greek food!
