WTB Spinnaker Pole
Ill tell you later2008-02-28 20:06
I heard of a place in the LA Cal area that has tons (tonnes?) of old
sailing gear. Don't know if they would have a Spinn Pole (13'6")so if
you guys know the name I could call that place.
I will be in the area Wednesday and thought I might have time to shop.
Thanks

Minney's on Newport Blvd has everything. I bought a spinnaker pole
from them a year ago. It was new and probably was replaced by carbon
fiber.

You can always buy the tips, and then buy a piece of tube from your
local alloy vendor.. and make it yourself... I've made all my poles,
except the two racing carbon fiber ones on the Cal 40..
I typically get the tubing from ESCO.

WTB Spinnaker Pole (Timm)
Husar, Charlie [USA]2008-02-29 05:27 UTC
Timm, could not help noticing that ESCO is into products for crushing
and dredging. Are these related to your use of their products.
I've also never seen Spelter Sockets before. Well, if I did, I did not
know that is what you call them.
Cheers

Buy the ends at Minney's and buy the tube from dEmO's source.
Or buy one that's too long from Minney's and cut the tube down

Just Google 6061-t6 tubing..
I did and found the stuff available @ $1 - $3 foot on Craig's List.
