Universal 5432 Air Filter
David Biggs2008-04-01 16:14
Does anyone know how to replace/clean the air filter on a 5432? There
is a screen on the intake but it appears to be riveted in place. I
have the service and owners manuals and neither addresses the air
filter. Thanks

Dave:
Just guessing here, but a lot of marine engines don't have air
filters---they just have a steel mesh flame arrestor. I guess the
theory is that most marine engines won't be operating in a dusty
environment.

There is no actual air filter on your engine.
