Classic Lapworth designed1969 Cal 28 flush deck sloop with trailer looking for good home. This is a project boat with a lot of nice features and is worthy of restoration. She has been in the family since the `70s. Although she was running great when put into storage, she has been on the hard for about 7 years. She needs a refit. Although the deck seems solid, I'm there is some deck delamination. The Atomic 4 is rusty and would benefit from a rebuild. The wiring is in poor condition and needs to be replaced. The boat needs a good cleaning and a paint job. The interior needs to be cleaned and refinished. Features – Upgraded mast – anodized aluminum, internal halyards, airfoil aluminum spreaders. Built by Hathaway, Reiser & Raymond. Strong, and much lighter than the old mast to save weight aloft. Mainsail used only one season. 6.7oz dacron, jiffy reef, Broadhead design, loose foot with cuningham. 153% Genoa – Super X cut mylar. Used only 3 times. Spinnaker and pole, and 100% jib. Upgraded primary winches – Lewmar Ocean self tailing oversized. A big improvement over the original winches. Harken traveler and winward sheeting car system. Makes adjusting the mainsail a snap. Cockpit cushions in good condition. No hull blisters. Asking price: $1,800. Email for more info. Paul.cundari at gmail dot com Location: Darien, CT

I'm going to take some photos today (and perhaps update the description and equipment list), but I don't know how or where to post them on the internet. Any suggestions? --- In Ca… [at] yahoogroups.com, "Bruce Stirling" <bruce@...> wrote: > > How about some photos? >

Both are high traffic sites that will get you lots of exposure. Sailboatlistings.com allows for more pictures however. Best of luck -- /ch

Just send anything you want online to me and I'll gladly post it, as I mentioned in a previous offer to the whole group. Any Cal Boat ad will be posted free on my Cal 28 site. Just send me the text you want to advertize and the photos. Please send several photos. Nothing worse than an ad about a boat for sale with no photos of the boat, or only one or two lousy photos. Send me at least ten photos of any boat for sale. People like to look. I would not buy a boat which did not post photos. Send them to bruce @ stirlinglaw.com [remove the spaces].
