Cal 40 Kismet is out cruising the NW this summer - we use the following for showers. 1. Hit a port with showers once a week (which corresponds with ice, water and food restocking) 2. When the sun is out, heat water in a sun shower on deck, rig it to the boom, throw a tarp over the boom to get some privacy and shower away in the cockpit. The 5 gallon sun shower gives us showers for the four of us. 3. When the sun doesn't heat it's PTA baths with stove warmed water. Hope this helped The crew of Kismet www.sailblogs.com/member/cal40kismet/

I used a one gallon Hudson garden sprayer on my Cal 29. Heat water on the stove and it was enough for me, the wife and the dog to shower in the cockpit or the main cabin sole. It was also useful for exterior fresh water boat rinses. Kurt Ford Cal-less in Idaho
