Re: [Cal_Boats] [cbcal25] Boat recovery story
Charlie -
Was the name of the trawler shown in the story "Steel Magnolia"? If so, I
just met the guy at my boatyard earlier this summer.

Hi, All. More cheery news. The CAL 25 Fleet (10 boats, I believe) were
returning from an overnight race on the Eastern Shore (Corsica River for
the locals) when we went through the storm described in message below.
Note the discrepancy in wind speeds.
Speaking of the devil (or Mother Nature as you choose), TS Hanna is
approaching rapidly. Eye will pass very near Annapolis. More concerned
about water surge than wind, though. Did some boat "battening down" on
my Armada yesterday. Gotta listen to people like Tom Vandiver.

Subject: [cbcal25] Boat recovery story
This is a link to a boat recovery story. The boat sank the afternoon of
the return from Corsica river race, off the mouth of the Magothy. I'm
guessing she may have been the source of the distress calls that CL2
heard. But
then, I think a lot of people were in trouble that afternoon. --Dave
