Hi ... Tim.
We're across the street from your Portland YC, at the Columbia River RV park. We checked in, and they said that Victoria had been here a few days ago.
We're on a motorhome trip and will be leaving early in the morning.
You left ouat "topless" staysails. Had one with the prior boat, the Cal-34.
Arguably, they were a quadri-lateral sail, possibly illegal. Used to be popular, in a 70's-sort-of-way.
Thanks for passing the Skip Allan stuff to the list.
He's a good friend, and (of course) I offered him the "any-time" use of his old Cal-40 ... Holiday Too / Radiant.

Never heard of it, where did you find this reference?
I've heard of cheaters, flown under a spinnaker foot, Bloopers, flown under the boom
Drifters, tall boys, staysails, wind seekers, etc... maybe a local or trade name for one of the above?

Has anyone ever heard of a Joey sail?
I believe it is a light air down wind sail. How do you fly it. It is tacked at the deck is all I know.

Yup ...must have been trading places. Actually, as it worked out, we decided it was too hot in Portland, and moved up-river to a nice RV park/ marina at Cascade Locks. Very pretty place. Fin.
