Cal29 transmission

My transmission which is a Hurth. I think it is a 100 I will have to
look at the boat to be sure. It doesn't shift into forward if it is
reved at all or if it is in already in forward and hit the throttle it
slips then shifts into gear. Is this a rebuild? If so do I have to haul
the boat?
Thanks, Scott

Scott,
Before you pill the tranny, not the boat; try changing out the fluid
with a full synthetic. Hurth recommends regular fluid, but last fall
when my hurth declined to engage or hold gears I tried synthetic with
great success. Anyone on the list will tell you your Hurth is a POS,
but a paid for, working POS is better than the alternative.
