Thanks Mike. What an amazing weekend!
My arrival typifies the weekend: I arrive at the raft up with many helpful sailors to help me tie up. The crew from California Girl in beautiful floral shirts presents me with a Mai Tai. I’m told there is free beer down the dock. And…oh….Stan Honey is about to give a seminar! I thought I’d died and gone to sailor’s heaven!
The rest of Caltopia didn’t disappoint either. The endless fun went on late into the evening and there was fresh coffee and treats on the dock in the morning. It was sad to see everyone get underway in the morning after all that fun. I was lucky enough to sail close to a couple of Transpac 52’s on a screeching run on my way home. The chase boats were running wide open to keep up. What a sight!
Oh, this was my first visit to Richmond. The yacht club has an amazing view of the bay. Very nice indeed!
Thanks again Mike for all your efforts. It turned out beautifully and will be hard to top!

Dave,Thanks for your comments. It was indeed a fun week end. Don and Betty Leslie from California Girl were responsible for much of the success of the event. Glad you enjoyed RYC too.
