Yes, Rod, the T/2 is "distinctive"Y I understand that the underside is the same as an original 27? The rare bolt-on keels in the CAL line. I do recall external rudder on the T/4. Both the T/2 and T/4 were fairly rare in the Chesapeake. I think they were MORC oriented.
As far as fertilizer goes, I believe the T/2 is 5-10-5, and the T/4 is 20-10-5.

Clues;
this boat has a pop-top, CAL 27 had one, T/4 didn't.
The T/4 had an outboard rudder, the 27 had an inboard rudder, hard to tell in this photo...but I'd be pretty sure that tiller is attached to an inboard rudder.
finally, that mast appears to be more of a "tree trunk" than a T/4 would have.
The T/2 had a raised "doghouse" in place of the pop-top, and the raised deck extended to the bow, it was not stepped as the deck on the 27 and T/4 were.
