2-29 (Alfred)

And thanks, Randy, on the correction about the quarterberths. I was led astray by Les Hesters beautiful Bay Breeze, in which he converted one of the torpedo tubes into storage. Thats where I got the idea that all 2-29 cabins were arranged that way.

Thanks for the compliment, Alfred. Actually, Bay Breeze is one of the few 3-29's that were built at the end of the 29 run (hull #1005). the cabin is set up quite differently with a more typical 'cruising' galley setup. Aft starboard in the salon is the stove, sink, icebox with only one torpedo tube to port. The PO had lived on Bay Breeze for a couple of years and had installed a hot water heater at the foot of the quarter berth. The admiral likes this a lot as we can have hot water for as much as three days (it is 110 ac only) if we are careful. As a result, the rest of the space collects the tools, pfd's, anchor sail, adult beverage cooler, etc. that we always have aboard for a weekend cruise. We like the cabin setup a lot, but have also had discussions regarding the removal of the head sink and replacing it with a small hanging locker and som e narrow drawers.
