Gene, if the boat is 1974 or later (up to 76 if we are talking flat deck
model), you will find the number on the external right rear stern
stamped in. CAB5nnnnmmyy where "nnnn"=hull number and "mm" and "yy" are
month and year of manufacture.
Other wise, if you are lucky, you will find the hull number on the
inside stern somewhere (pain the butt). Sometimes, boats would have
hull number under the drawers and places like that so they could keep
parts together at manufacture.
Third chance is that the sails have numbers. On 25s, these are often
the hull numbers.
