T-2 what it is was What's up w/ this Cal?

The T2 is both roomy inside, and FAST!. If I can somehow coerce my dockmate to get his boat's bottom cleaned I'd take her out in a heart beat.
The dog house does look like a cross between the cockpit of a PBY Catalina flyingboat (yes, the one who sighted the Bismark, resulting in its sinking, and wreaked havoc on the Japanese Navy using night time attacks..but..I digress) and, well, the Nautilus in Walt Disney's 20,000 leagues underthe Sea. What was Bill Lapworth thinking? Oh, like I already said.

It has 6'1" standing headroom in the main salon and better headroom in the v-berth. Rumor has it theh 6'1" headroom in a fixed coachroof was one of the requirements for the 1/2 ton class.
He also mooved all the portlights to the raised coachroof. Why he changed the fordeck to the flat deck as opposed to the shearline deck of the original pop-top 27 is anyones guess.

The flat deck forward would have yielded a lower center-of-gravity. Faster, and better for the crew working forward.
Fin.

actually the deck was raised from the shearline so it should raise center of gravity. Original pop-top deck dropped to shearline just forward of the deck hatch. See photos attached, "Knot Ready" T/2 and Michael Harris' "Godspeed" pop-top
