Re: CAL31 Headliner

I replaced my '79 Cal 31 headliner last year. Not too bad a project. I used the perforated padded stuff from Sail rite. I think it looks nice. I still have not figured out what to do about the molding around the hatch. The old was destroyed as you correctly anticipated. I could spend a lot of time on fabricating some teak, but was hoping to find some kind of molding that would work. FYI: I re-bedded all deck hardware before installing the new headliner and feel very good about knowing that there is not a leak back there. The mold was pretty bad when I pulled down the old one.
