Burning rubber, was psycho environmentalists (Rick)

Rick,
Shame on you. Thanks to that act of insolent tire burning, another rubber tree had to bleed, the C02 level shot up, a penguin went hungry, a polar bear had to tread water for half an hour, and another crack appeared in the Anartica ice shelf!
I have a neighbor who drives her new Chevy Suburban with it's 7000 cubic inch V8 up the short cement driveway, bordered by a tall cement block wall, and the stucco walls of our apartments, up to her front door steps, then runs up stairs and disappears into her unit, letting it idle and rumble for five minutes, sounding like it is double parked inside my living room, rather than switching it off and saving a little gas. As far as I know she pays for all this with a lucrative job, walking her big rescued dogs.
I bet most of those stink potters think us rag haulers is all a bunch of tree huggers! May they all smell, rumble, viabrate, lurch, yaw and pound along the waves as we sail smoothly and quietly along on an even keel.

Dan,
Reminds me of the time I had some lady yelling at me when I left
my ’85 Mustang idling while I grabbed mail out of my mailbox. I didn’t say a
word to her, just backed up and left 2 thick strips of rubber and a lot of
smoke in the parking lot. This all in the lake Whatcom watershed. I get a
little tired of the tree huggers up here.

I guess in fairness and full disclosure, I should have mentioned that we are in
Tacoma's Delin Docks at the end of Foss Waterway. It's a former Super Fund
Clean up site area. But the marina manager is adamant about the soap. We've
asked how he relates that to soapy sink discharge and he seemed perplexed and
couldn't/wouldn' t answer.
I really like the TSP suggestion. Not sure why it never occurred to me!
My slip mate was verbally accosted by some lady two weekends ago for washing
his boat. He added a tiny amount of Super Green to the bucket and it left a
tiny trail of soap bubbles in the marina. This lady followed the da*#$d bubbles
to him and treated him like he was a criminal. We had a couple Guinness's
together and he felt better. I'll get some TSP and print the MSGS.

Jerry,
I feel no shame, that was years ago in my youth. Now I drive an 09 Subaru legacy like the rest of the tree huggers around here.
However my reasoning at the time, was that it was going to take more gas and cause more pollution stopping and restarting that big engine with its twin big 4 barrel carbs, than what would be burned for the 20 seconds I was out of the car getting my mail. I had not taken into consideration the 10 minute lecture I was going to get from the tree hugger while the engine was still running and burning fuel. I have no defense for the burnout than it was a hell of a lot of fun. Lol
