Jerry inquired: > What tool are we talking about, that thingy with the itty bitty saw blade attached to an electric hair cutter with an allen wrench? The Roto-Zip was the subject of TV infomercials (probably still is) and was sold as a way to cut holes in drywall (using a little up-cut spiral cutter). What a waste of a great tool! It came with a right angle attachment, to which you could attach the typical cut-off wheels and such. But my favorite feature were the grinding discs. These were heavy grit - like sandpaper - that locked onto a pad that has three large holes in it. These holes line up with the holes in the discs, so as the wheel is spinning, you can see the surface as you work. This greatly reduces the nasty surprises. It's lighter than most 4.5 inch grinders, so you can work longer without getting tired (which leads to mistakes). It's relatively easy to swap the discs if you actually manage to wear them down. But it is these discs that apparently are no longer made; Home Depot didn't have them, and they are not listed on the Roto-Zip Web site. <sob> So I bought a 4.5 inch grinder at Home Depot with one of those sander flapper thingies to use as a backup in case my second Roto-Zip dies.
