The late Roger Jones had ambitious plans for Swiss Navy, Cal 29 hull no. 1, which he was resurrecting at the time of his death. I've attached one of the photos of his sugar-scoop add on for the stern, which I believe may have also incorporated a new rudder design, though I'm not certain about that. In any case, you can see that he did not add any reinforcement across the top. I'm not sure that I'd cut out the stern like this without something to help keep the sides together, such as the added scoop here. Alfred
