Paul, The "monkey fur" has only been on the boat about six months, so it's too early to tell how it will handle a summer of heat and humidity here in South Florida. However, it's a synthetic material that somewhat resembles a thick woolen sweater. It may be made by Redrum Fabrics, which is the stuff sold by West Marine, but I'm not sure. Michael
