Hi Chris,

I guess one could say that, like so many other CAL 20s, the boat has
been Chris-ened. Congrats to daddy Chris, and uncles and cousins Chris,
Chris, Chris, Chris, and Chris.
Cheers
Charlie

Well, I was thinking about forming a Chris Cal Club, thinking it would be a pretty exclusive group. But now it looks like just about everybody would be eligible, so why bother....

Why not. Think of the fun that could be had with this, for example a CAL(20
or anysize for that matter) rendezvous, say up or near Manitoulin or Mackinaw
Island? The only requirement would be that you sail it to the selected site
and the boat may not be launched in the same body of water. Now that would be
a challenge. Call it the cruising cal club or triple c club just for the heck
of it. So now Imagine going to the local bar and ordering drinks afterwords
should all the Chris's show up, as the waiter/waitress calls out beer for
Chris........:) That would be really funny as five guys faces light up
especially when she asks who;s paying? why Chris of course..:) Too funny.

That would be the one situation where not actually being a Chris would come in handy!

This does sound like fun. Why don't you call my boss and make arrangements for me to be paid for a few weeks so I can wander past Mackinaw to the North Channel at a Cal 20 speed? Work always gets in the way of fun....

Speaking of Chris and Chris, this sounds like another invocation of what
was called the CCCCCC on the West Coast. Some of the C's were things
like CAL, Catalina (Island), Champagne, and Caper, but I have forgotten
the full construction.
Cheers

I suppose we could max out on Cs by naming it the Comprehensive Cruising
and Competing Chris Cal Club Collecting Cal Craft at the Channel.
