Mike,
Thanks for the link. The photos give me some idea as to what to expect. As you may know, the Cal 2-27 hull to deck joint is located along the side of the hull just below the molded toe rail. Attached are some older photos taken during some resealing. (That's the Admiral over on port inspecting my handiwork.) I suspect that I'll need to reglass the joint in similar fashion to your project.
Do you have any suggestions for replacing the teak? I suspect if I go that route, I'll end up needing to get it custom fabricated. I am also considering using a PVC based rubrail, but so far I have not been able to find a source except for rubber based sections.
BTW, Conquest is a beautiful boat!
Thanks,
Michael

I have some photos on Flikr of the project on Conquest.

Feel free to ask for any more info you need. Wendy Siegel repaired one
toe rail (stbd) that was leaking without replacing the teak rail, Mine
were in worse shape having cracked on both sides from seven Bermuda
Races over the years.

I didn't know what type of boat you were asking about. That teak rail
looks really nice. Why not go from the inside and glass and seal it
there ? I had no choice. My Cal 34 had that bolted joint and it never
leaked but the PVC was a pain. I would sure try to get at it from the
inside and seal it off. Maybe the fasteners that hold the teak in
place are the source of the leak.
