YAHOO screwed up my reply....... I have no idea why it does that....
Anyway, my reply (Believe it or not....it was in English <GRIN!>) was
that I asked which Portland you were visiting?
Here is a copy of my reply;
Portland?
Will that be Portland, ME? Portland, OR? Portland, CT? Portland, ??
I know there are several great seafood places along the Portland, ME
waterfront.. ...although I have not tried any of them and can't recall any
names.

David: Although I have been in Seattle for five years I lived in Portland for many more......as someone else mentioned, Jake's Crawfish is a great fish place and you can't go wrong. Noisy but fun. A couple of others that aren't strictly fish but would have some great fish dishes would be either Higgins (known for his local ingredients and Southpark (on Salmon St..!). Portland is a terrific restaurant town. For late breakfast try the Dim Sum at Fong Chong's on 4th in Chinatown....And if you need any more sailing books or books of any kind, stop at Powell's Books (Burnside and 8th?). One city block and the largest privately owned bookstore on the planet. Their used book sailing/sea story section covers many shelves.
