My son and I are planning to take the Cal 40 in the Seal Beach to Dana Point race July 11. It is an easy slide down the coast and I have won it a couple of times years ago with other boats. Mike, My son (13) and I would like to go. He and I doublehanded our Cal 40 successfully in club races until we sold it a couple of years ago, but he still has to be considered novice crew.
