Wierd Text Problems`

Group, My posts to the Cal list are not wrapping properly when they show up on my computer and words are breaking in the middle. This is a test. Maybe it's only when I reply. At any rate, I'm running a Mac and can't find any preferences in the mail program that dictate line length or wrap characteristics. Am I looking in the wrong place? I only recently had this show up and am unaware of any changes on my end. Thanks. Wilkie

Weird Text Problems (Wilkie)

Hi, Wilkie. Might be tied into the whether you are using plain text, rich text, or html in your messages. I usually go plain text, and see that your message came in that way. Shouldn't happen, but... Cal 2-27 Masthead Sheaves and Spreader Information Needed

Michael D2009-08-13 12:55 UTC
Hello Everyone, I'm looking for information on replacement parts for my mast. Magic has been ridden hard and put away wet over the years, and it's time to step the mast for a rebuild, rewiring, painting, etc. I am planning three weeks to complete the work. At this time, the only part I have obtained is a mast step plate from "Seal's Spars & Rigging". Two items of particular interest are the spreaders and the masthead sheaves: aluminium vs. delrin, and size used. Has anyone here gone through this? Is there anything of special interest/attention I should look for? I would also like to know the "official" name of the mast section. A source for replacement parts and other insight to this process is appreciated. Thanks, Michael Duvall Pompano Beach, FL

Ask Steve Seal, he raced a cal 2-27 in the 80's. I would take his advise. I have heard good things about rigging only. I have a list of sources that might be of interest. Please feel free to send me new sources you have had good luck with if you want and I will add them to the list. http://l-36.com/stuff.php?menu=7 <http://l-36.com/stuff.php?menu=7>Allen On Thu, Aug 13, 2009 at 7:44 AM, r good <my… [at] hotmail.com> wrote: > > > riggingonly.com > excellent source for sheaves and all other rigging > Reggie > > ------------------------------ > To: Ca… [at] yahoogroups.com > From: md… [at] yahoo.com > Date: Thu, 13 Aug 2009 05:55:51 -0700 > Subject: [Cal_Boats] Cal 2-27 Masthead Sheaves and Spreader Information > Needed > > > Hello Everyone, > > I'm looking for information on replacement parts for my mast. Michael, There have been several spars used on the 227 I think this is the one used on your boat and mine (#650). I take my mast down every year and have not seen any problems with the sheaves but then again I'm in fresh water. The sheaves are metal I assumed they were s/s but I never checked. The wiring can be done behind the removable sail track, but not easily. Rig rite has all of the parts listed on their web site.
