Digest reader's request

Alfred Poor2009-08-07 12:54 UTC
Folks, I get the Cal List messages once a day in Digest form, all strung together in a single message. (It saves me time that way.) I recognize the value of including the previous message (or messages) in helping provide a context for the response, but please consider snipping off the long tails when you reply. In today's digest, for example, there was a six-word message that was followed by more than 12 screens of old text, signature blocks, anti-virus software ads, and blank lines. So if you think of it, do a little pruning when you reply; it will save some of us a lot of scrolling. Thanks, Alfred Poor 1973 Tartan 34C #288 "Jambalaya"

Subject Line - was: Digest reader's request

As long as Alfred is at it, I will request that senders change the subject line when the subject changes. Helps me cull for the notes of interest. (Not that all inputs are not interesting, of course.) Stultitia on eBay

All, It saddened me to hear that Gary has listed his Cal 25, Stultitia, on eBay. She has a damaged keel, and Gary does not feel he can put any more time or money into her. If anyone might be interested, the website is: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/CAL-25-SAILBOAT-SAIL-BOAT-1974-JENSEN-MARINE-PROJECT-NR_W0QQitemZ380146163268QQcmdZViewItemQQptZSailboats?hash=item58827a1e44&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245 With regrets, Gina, Lurking for years, formerly sailing on Stultitia 1974 Cal 25 #1667

It's generally ignored. I, of course, have learned my lesson so I try to behave. We should urge others on the list to truncate the parts of the message that they are not addressing in their replies.
