. . . it was dripping water from the bottom of the keel as if it had been soaking up water for some time. I drilled a couple of holes about 3-4" deep to help the water drain out and it still just dripped. I was ready to splash her so I squirted some acetone up in the holes and then filled them with a stiff mixture of West Systems and 301 filler. I'm wondering if somehow this has or had something to do with the water in the bilge. Paul West Adventure Kwest Cal 39 In a message dated 9/11/2009 7:37:56 P.M. There were salt crystals growing in the forward part of the hull from a tiny crack in the forward keel section. Patched the crack, and no more leak. And darn it... I forgot to bring my salt along for the cruise. But yeah, it leaked so slowly that the water evaporated just as fast at a certain surface area.
