CAL 2-27 owner following the group

Fred - UUCSJ2009-10-12 02:37
I've owned a 1976 CAL 2-27 for about 6 years, and have the only CAL in this part of the world - as far as I know. (New Brunswick, Canada) I stumbled across this list and enjoy reading other conversations about these boats. As I said, CAL's (of any model) and very rare in this part of the world. Cheers, Fred

Fred, Cals are as rare as hen's teeth here in south Florida. The last one I knew of, a bristol Cal 39, was sold, sailed off shore, lost its rudder, and abandoned during rescue. --Michael-- s/v Magic Cal 2-27, #627, 1979 --- On Sun, 10/11/09, Fred - UUCSJ <ph… [at] gmail.com> wrote: From: Fred - UUCSJ <ph… [at] gmail.com> Subject: [Cal_Boats] CAL 2-27 owner following the group To: Ca… [at] yahoogroups.com Date: Sunday, October 11, 2009, 10:37 PM I've owned a 1976 CAL 2-27 for about 6 years, and have the only CAL in this part of the world - as far as I know. Walter, Did you compete in the Columbus Day Regatta? My wife and I drove down to the CRYC and crewed on a Hunter 42 in yesterday's race. Where do you keep Ita? --Michael-- --- On Mon, 10/12/09, Walter March <ma… [at] yahoo.com> wrote: From: Walter March <ma… [at] yahoo.com> Subject: Re: [Cal_Boats] CAL 2-27 owner following the group (Fred) To: Ca… [at] yahoogroups.com Date: Monday, October 12, 2009, 4:29 PM Hey , don't forget about me. Hi, Michael. I got David's former Mariposa mainsail (my best), an old 130 G and a Hobbiecat jib, not the best wardrobe for race, so I spend the weekend at anchor by the sandbar with some friends. Ita is at the marina by Brickell Key, north of Rickenbaker Causeway Hope to see you arround with Magic soon. By the way, great pictures of your mast work!!
