I have that boat now. The surveyer knew the boat as Uncle Juicy and described the graphic that accompanied the name to us and said that we should rename it back to Uncle Juicy. My wife and I both shuddered and said no thank you. At the time we bought her the name was Kattegat, we chose Strider. Uncle Juicy was the boat that won the prize for having the most fun in my Early years at the Swiftsure.. Their team shirts had "LIFE BEGINS AT CAL 40" On the back. As the faithful stead, Uncle Juicy carried the owner on one of his greatest adventures, the Vic Maui, as he was failing from serious ailment.. All arrived, safe, sound and final wishes satisfied. Do you know or remember any of the history of my boat? I believe that it originally started out on the Great Lakes. It came to Puget Sound from there, guessing 70s-80s. Was it Dubhe that brought it here? At some point I heard that it had a tall double spreader rig on it for IOR, then a Cal 40 rig was put back in. Anything you know with approximate dates would be appreciated.
