apology to list

OK, I'm sorry that I "blew up" after lord Nougat insulted me, but this has always been a group that tried to respect everyone and I was just deeply offended by his response. After 38 years of ownership, a boat becomes part of the family and the sale is not easy. I should have sent my response just to him, but I didn't. I'm calmer now. Sabine, the reason I did not go into an elaborate description of our boat is that I felt that linking to the ad we had placed in BEST BOAT BUYS would be better than rewriting all the info. Also, I added the offer to supply further details if anyone wanted to know more. I was trying to not post a long message to the list, knowing that those who subscribe to the digest version can't simply "delete" the messages that do not interest them. We'd rather be sailing NODROG than selling her..........but it is time to move on. Not out of sailing, just reducing our fleet (although we are still far short of Charlie and his 90' of CALs). It is beginning to make more sense to invite my Dad to sail with me on my O'Day Day Sailer II which I can moor in the cove in front of my Parent's cottage (mooring cost = $77 to Town for permit) rather than paying $1400+ to rent a mooring at local boatyard for our CAL 21 (water is not deep enough for the 4' 3" draft of a 21 in the cove). Also, my boat is a 0.10 mile walk from the house vs a 3.5 mile drive to the boatyard. Rod Johnson, "NODROG" 1970 CAL 21 #285

I have all kinds of space on my Cal 28 web site. I will gladly post whatever information you'd like - or any other Cal Boat members like - regarding the sale of any Cal Boat. FREE. I'll just create a for sale page and link to it. Piece of cake. Send photos and descriptions, text, whatever, to bruce @ stirlinglaw.com [remove spaces] and I'll try to get the information online as soon as possible. Again, 100% FREE. Why? Because it adds more great Cal content to my site. Something like this page maybe, or not, with as many photos and all of the text you think needed to accurately describe your boat. This is a freebee ad I did for another Cal 28 owner because I liked the interior of his boat: http://www.stirlinglaw.com/cal28/cal28sale/ --- In Ca… [at] yahoogroups.com, "Bruce Stirling" <bruce@...> wrote: > > Oops!
