I've never been so glad to have my boat out of the water!! Spent 2 hrs
before the superbowl and 4 hours the next day throwing snow and ice off of it
to get ready for this storm. My cockpit was completely full and I could
barely see the tops of the cabintop winches which are 7-8" tall. I have
some leaks in my deck so I didn't want water slowly leaking in and then
freezing and thawing over and over. Hopefully I've minimized the intrusion. The
boat is in Cambridge, Md and it is snowin' and blowin' like mad. Guess
what I'm doing tomorrow??

I hope everybody's boat on the east coast is tied up and secure. The wind
following this storm is hellacious! I am working on an 85' Gaff-rigged ketch
on the hard in NC and had to re-secure a lot of things that have come
un-secured in this wind. The aft salon canvas enclosure has blown all the
fasteners off and the clear panels have been cracked/blown out down the middle.
45 knot gusts are a conservative estimate.
Just a heads up folks. The snow is only a part of what you are going to
get.
Good luck!

My complete sympathies are with all you guys. I'm snowed in at the motel so
wont get access to the boat till tomorrow or possibly the next day. Went out
yesterday and shoveled her clean. The wind up here is brutal. Good to be
indoors. Here's what BayBreeze looked like a few days ago, in about 4-6
inches of ice...;)

Me too, Paul. Sunday when we were in the yard, it was already 3 feet deep.....based on my personal yard tonight, where the wind has actually rerouted the 3 foot deep ditch I dug...how does that happen?... I am going to try to get up there tomorrow to see what I can do...
I hate Florida...but it is looking really good right now...now if I can just figure out how to kick out my long term tenants......
