Hello. I'm new to the group. I have a Sabre 28 but am seriously looking at a Cal 35. I sail in Southern New England. Joined the group to learn more aboout Cals. Looks like a good group with a lot of good advice. I have a heavy canvas rectangle I put over a wood frame. It is not custom and cost about 300.00. One year, I forgot to close the companionway hatch when I left for the winter. When I came back 1 month later after a 12 inch snow storm, the boat was bone dry.

Welcome Greg.
You are right, this group offers a wealth of information and advice. And I can't imagine a better way to spend one's money than on a Cal sailboat.
Cheers,
Danny
