so, since we have been in no rush, we've putted along at about 4.5-5 knots, getting fuel useage of 1/2 gal per hour. not too shabby!

It does sound pretty good. I calculated /Celtic Naut's/ 4-107 at .8
gallons at 6 kts. I had no idea what RPM I was running at since there
isn't a gauge yet and since the old prop was severely over pitched to
thepoint I couldn't make 2000 (by ear) before it bogged the motor. (I
set the throttle to "just before bogging and belching smoke" when I
calculated my fuel). I have already replaced the old 16x16 with a 16x10
but haven't had the opportunity to check it out. So all my numbers are
going to change when I install gauges etc. I should get similar
performance even though we're a little bigger. What RPM are you running at?

perkins 4/107 is a hell of an engine from a London Taxi to a marine application.
My best, mike
