CAL travels

it occurs to me tha the CAL list has received the dregs of our recent posts. The CAL list has been a treasure trove of support and info for years now. I have been sending out updates elsewhere, but not here. I was concerned the info might not be appropriate here. Then, it dawned on me today that it is not only sailing relevant, it is specifically CAL relevant. my bride and I are in the midst of an adventure, traveling 2000+ miles in our 41 year old CAL. The reason? cause we have her. The excuse? My son graduates as an MD and is promoted to the rank of CAptain, U. S. Army, in mid May. We are traveling from Pensacola Florida to Washington, DC. I would b e delighted to post the updates to the list if deemed pertinent and appropriate. Reggie

What is appropriate is not always politically correct. If you are fortunate enough to raise a son, and if that son can complete medical school And get commissioned in the Army of the US and get railroad tracks---Then God Bless You all. You both have done something right. My Best, Mike Farrell son of a BAR Man in the Americal Div WW2 who returned to the USA because Harry S Truman had the guts to use the A bomb-- Rosevelt would not have done it. Nothing better then travel stories, and lessons learned and experienced. No real bad experiences on a sail boat if you live to tell them any ways. All is good. /ch
