Well, how handy are you?? You "might" find one from a boat that is being parted out...... but they aren't exactly plentiful! There are some drawings on the www.cal21.com web-site that might be sufficient to build a new keel from....... otherwise, you may be out of luck! The pics and drawings are actually on a link from that site, but well worth checking out!! In fact we ended up selling our CAL 21 in 2008 to a person who had just launched his new (to him) CAL 21 and had somehow lost the keel after launching! Between us we figured that the $1000 that he paid for our fully functional boat would be less than the cost of replacing the keel on his boat. Sorry to rain on your parade.... but as one (former) CAL 21 owner to another, it is not easy to find a replacement keel for these boats. As I say, building a new keel is not out of the question if you can find a source for the basic materials (steel plate for the "backbone", lead ballast (about 360#) for the lower part, and foam and fiberglass to give it the right shape and "shell". The drawings and picture on the web site are showing the process of rebuilding a keel, not creating a new one.... but should still prove worthwhile! Where are you located?
