Greets: Chris and I will be back in Rock Hall to take BayBreeze back to Canada this time for the summer. We will be in town from the 18 to 25th so if anyone wants to get together for some good old fashion "yarning" just let me know on or off list. The CAL-29 drawings are being shipped to me so they will be made available end of May when I get back, apologies for the delays. Finally Chris will be dropped off in NYC where I'm taking BB up the Hudson to Oswego through the canal system. If anyone is interested in catching a ride for this length or any part of it, company is always welcomed. The dog is staying home on this leg, as we are on a tight schedule to get the boat to NYC and open Atlantic provides no potting stops. She's adjusted amazing well to my sister so have no concerns on that front. The last issue to identify is some good anchorages on the Hudson and then someone on the list mentioned they new a good place to step the mast in Oswego which is getting really bad for sticking it to folk's with silly charges. Hop-a-Nose Marine at the other end is well documented as the place to stop. Stick down, cradles and supports build from wood, and all nicely lashed down (asked me to bring ratchet ties) for approx 150. More then reasonable. Oswego now wants well over 300 to raise the stick and you do all the attachment and adjustment of the rigging. Crusierforum readers are getting livid. So any help on this front would be appreciated. best regards, pics and trip reports to follow. -- /ch

Chris, I'm on Oneida Lake, so you'll be passing by. I believe the place in Oswego is the only game in town and it sounds like it has gotten worse. The only other thing I can tell you is Fairhaven, about 8 miles west on the lake in Little Sodus Bay. I know some people who have had their masts stepped/unstepped there to avoid Oswego. I unfortunately have no contact info. Chris, I'm thinking Friday afternoon at Kent Island. I can do that, being just back from Arhus Thursday night. Meeting the rigger at my boat that morning, and spashing, finally, the following Thursday AM. Let us know and we'll find a spot to "yarn...".....
