tour of Rosebud, Ken of L36, and John Kerry

Our thanks to Greg, owner of Rosebud Cal 36 for the grand tour, you made it
possible for us to make some logical plans for upgrading our 36. Your 36 really
sparkles inside and the lighting, cabinetry and table upgrades make it really
comfortable. Hope to see you sailing..Ed and Helen (we expect to get away in the
next week or so to head back up to Santa Cruz or SF.) Additionally, a neighbor
near our 36 in Newport Beach, Ken, owns an L-36, and we were fortunate to meet
him for several reasons, Edward reinjured his knee as Helen had to head back to
Santa Cruz for jury duty. Ken was able to keep him supplied with ice and then a
few days later dove into the engine compartment (very tight quarters) and
repacked our stuffing box as well as taught Edward how to do it the next time.
Helen will be eternally grateful for that. As for John Kerry, I hope he gets to
take his own boat out (alone)(does he have his master's license?) and needs
something. I don't think too many of us would jump at the chance. Of course we
are to help those in need so I would let him swim (a long way)to my boat. He is
so out of touch with the state of our country's citizens. So un-Democratic of
him, it's an insult to all of us. HH

Hi Helen,
As I mentioned before, Rosebud was tied up to PCYC in Channel Islands and they
let me take a tour of her, she is beautiful.
Have fun and look forward to a visit if you are ener in our area.

If you see Ken with the L-36 be sure he knows about the L-36 web site,
www.L-36.com. Have him send me a note if he hasn't already. I will create
a page for his boat.
