SCCCCC....this summer? Anyone?

Fellow Left Coast Cal and Lapworth related boat owners..
Is anyone interested in having a Cal Club Champagne Cruise Convention on Santa Cruz Island this summer?
I was thinking, if not next weekend, maybe next full moon which is late August.
Our WSA (Women's Sailing Association of Santa Monica Bay) is going there Labor Day weekend, but I usually do/like to do the Outlaw Regatta Race from Marina del Rey to Los Alamitos Marina. (Santa Monica Windjammer's YC and Seal Beach YC). On the way back I'll spend a day at the Isthumus/locality, anchored somewhere.
Anyone have an idea what would be a good location? In the past we've had a bi-annual, or, an annual cruise to Howland's Landing under the auspices of Fin Bevin's membership in the Los Angeles Yacht Club. I've never been to the Channel Islands and I'd like to before it's too....?
Sincerely,
Gerald Sobel

Sounds like a good idea. I would like to try. The CCCCC's were fun.
Most of my weekends for the rest of the summer are filled. I wouldn't do Labor
day. Holidays, even at Santa Cruz are nuts!
Winter time can even be good. We had a 80 degree day on Jan 2. In the winter you
have to watch out for storms. It is hard to plan these get togethers
My favorite anchorage in Pelican bay.

Hey all,
I have been meaning to get this out before now, but work and travel has taken
priority.
There will be a couple of boats sailing around Santa Cruz island leaving Channel
Islands Harbor AUG 8th. I plan to make the trip, but am running into a family
issue right now.
The first night will be up to Santa Barbra and then reach across to the Island.
