I just brought home a 1974 Cal 27. I will be reconditioning both the interior and exterior. Where can I get information on the original equipment and contacts for parts. I live in Buffalo, NY.

Congratulations on your new baby...The 27 is a nice boat. Really like the space as the galley is across the back. The best source for spares or original equipment information is this list. Just feel free to ask very specific questions and in most cases someone or more will chime in to get you going. So where Buffalo do you sail, on the Niagara River, Lake Erie or Lake Ontario? Congrats again. /ch On Wed, Sep 1, 2010 at 4:58 PM, Phil <ph… [at] yahoo.com> wrote: > > > I just brought home a 1974 Cal 27. I will be reconditioning both the > interior and exterior. T/2! Great boat. See attached. This was the actual second model of the CAL 27. Coachroof and deck are the only differences between it and the pop-top. Which engine option do you have? Welcome to the Cal fleet in Buffalo. I sail a Cal227 in the Buffalo Harbor Sailing Club for the last 15 years and for the 20+ years prior to that I sailed it and several other boats in the Niagara River. Let me know if you have specific questions about area marinas and clubs. we race ours all the time, amd many times win,if I don't pooch the start. We are always fully loaded for cruising: full set of nesting stainless cookware, spare clothes, spare dock lines, disnes, spices, etc. Still win! first place in our Tuesday nightnseries again this year. Reggie, Funny you should mention that your boat is fully loaded when you race. I have found my boat to be the same. It likes some weight compared to being stripped out. Of course I lived on mine for years and I removed everything that came a board over those years -- Sent from my Palm Pixi On Sep 10, 2010 0:12, r good <my… [at] hotmail.com> wrote: we race ours all the time, amd many times win,if I don't pooch the start. We are always fully loaded for cruising: full set of nesting stainless cookware, spare clothes, spare dock lines, disnes, spices, etc. Still win! first place in our Tuesday nightnseries again this year.
