Catching up

Hello to all. I have been completely disconnected for several months, as I tore my rotator cuff, went through surgery, rehab, and I am looking for the motivation to finish the restoration of my 72 cal 33. With help, I have done some extensive work, including the dreaded beam replacement, bulkhead and rib replacements, sections of deck core replacements (yes, the mast step section is solid fiber glass), etc. She used to be a combination of faded green and white (her original gel coat was light green) and now has a beatifull indigo blue hull. Painted the deck, and did some of the non- skid, replaced a terrible keel well repair job, etc. What's left? Rebuild a missing cabin sole section (it was cut out by a previous owner in order to repair keel well), painting interior (resurfaced using west system with fairing compound and primed), electronics, plumbing, re-installing yanmar 30 (new impeller and raw water intake), installation of deck hardware..... I am sure other things will show up (like the compression post)..... Anyway, I have enjoyed reading some of the posts and subjects, but I must confess I deleted most of them, as I found more than 2,000 (yes, two thousand) posts by the cal group. Anyway, I am glad to be back, and look forward to getting back to work. Jeff Esperanza '72 Cal 33
